My wife and I attended this morning in the large auditorim/Gymnasium multi purpose room the Senior class awards and recognition ceremonies.
I confess to having some moist eyes as I was moved in thinking back som any decades ago when that was me and now here I am at my grandson's time of graduating with honors.
I wish he were more studious and have the same desire to learn as much as he does with succeeding in athletics. He is a quiet, semi-introvert like myself and my wife and has some shyness tendencies. He won TWO awards this morning from the faculty. One was for his leadership and examples he set in being a student athlete and acheiving high success in both Football and wrestling.. The second was for academic success and leadership in his class.
His best friend won a great aard as well and those two will be roommates at college this fall where they will be on the football team. Tyler is a scholarship player whole his friend is a walk on but wants to go to the same school and play anyway..
So we have some events coming up andm y daughter is flying up to be with us for the graduation so I will be happy to see her...
On another note, I hurt my back where the fusion was done a few daysa go being stupid. Now I am paying that price.. I hope I did not screw up the fusion but I am in misery down there and had a sleepless night. Am back on pain meds and in lots of lower back pain and searing burn in my left thigh has returned... It was gone ever since the surgery so I am really worried I messed this up and have to go through it again..
Keep me in your prayers please. I need GOD to help me and fix this and to listen to my wife more.. I am a blockhead...
