Simly STUNNING!

Ya have done good laddie! Exciting times.. Nice looking home De! Maybe yer better half will let ya stay .......

I am wonering what the C-Block wall is showing in the picture of the top floor? Part of a chimney??

Framing looks great.. It gets better after insulation is put up on the exterior walls and drywall starts going up.

Congrats on a long time planned project coming to fruition! Well Done !!!!

I went to property #2 yesterday and took a few photos. Constructionwise, there's not so much to see. Most of the work is indoors where the main-floor is being framed. In the last two days I bought my aluminum shingle roof (prices are ridiculous but I can't delay it and don't know if or when they'll come back down), hired a plumber/heating specialist, chose a cabinet maker and made key plumbing choices - including the garden tub, bath/shower 1-piece unit for the guest bathroom, kitchen sink and all the bath and kitchen faucets. This part is expensive but not as fun to photograph as, say, pouring a foundation or erecting a frame.

Outside, though, wow is it ever pretty. Many people like the New England autumns, but May is my favorite month. Everything is verdant and alive; flowers are in bloom. Even the sky seems bluer. If any of you ever decide to visit, this is the time of year that I'd recommend. Of course, I did pick two ticks off my arm today, so there is that. Some of you might not be friends with the little guys the way I am. They tend to be gone by mid-summer, so there's something to be said for a September visit.

Photos follow. The chimney in the bottom pic is a triple, one smokestack for each wood-burning stove and one for the oil furnace.
