TJ has slipped. In 2021, it is ranked #3 in the country on niche.com though USnews.com still ranks it #1. I'm confident that the Fairfax school board's new policy of considering race when evaluating applications will cause the school's national rankings to plummet in the very near future.

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months

Re: “Lots of mama bears (and papa bears) out there ready to fight back HARD against the indoctrination of our children”
This is in the Fairfax school district -- our old school district. I tried to 'Like' the video but found I had to log on to Twitter. I didn't remember my Twitter password, so I looked it up and… Whoops! I shut down my Twitter account more than six months ago. Tells you how often I use Twitter.

Oh well. That was an excellent speech she gave, and the reaction from the school board is very revealing. I hope the video goes viral and the school board is embarrassed/hurt by it.

The woman's high school was Thomas Jefferson science and technology, consistently the best public high school in the United States. Joey tried out for it but didn't make it, probably because of his essay. In math and science it would have been hard to imagine him not scoring near the top. As things turned out, I think not going to TJ was a blessing. It not only would have involved a one hour commute each way, but also the hiring of a tutor since nearly every TJ student had one. Also, TJ sucks in its music and drama programs. Those, I think, are what kept Joey sane through high school.
