Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!

Re: “Anyway, iffen ya is ever lookin fer a pair of walking shoes that will act as a shock absorber these work pretty well.”
Perhaps one day. But I'm loath to buy a new pair of shoes until I absolutely have to.

One reason is that I never go anywhere. Oh, maybe to the grocery store or out for gas, but I'm otherwise spending all of my time in the house or on one of the properties.

For another, my main concern isn't sole support but ankle support. I've taken bad sprains a dozen or more times and learned that, more than anything else, I need to wear hightop shoes. That means either basketball style tennis shoes or hiking boots. I only wear standard shoes when I know for a fact I will only be walking on a totally flat surface.

Third, I wear shoes into the ground. BEYOND the ground. Long after other people would've thrown shoes away, I'm whipping out shoe glue and giving my shoes another year of life. LOL.

Finally, I've got new shoes in reserve. I wouldn't be much of a prepper if I forgot to stock away the single most important article of clothing excepting, maybe, clean skivvies. I've probably got 10 pairs boxed up and waiting for use.
