I'm with you on badminton. It's fun to play.

But croquet is an evil game. It's like that board game Risk. It asks you to do horrid things to people in order to succeed. When you lose, you seethe with resentment, rage and humiliation. And how is anyone meant to hit the ball straight for any distance using a mallet? It's clear that it is not possible.

Funny thing, my enjoyment of watching golf.
It's like being out in the prettiest environment without the bugs, tranquil.

The golfer has only himself to credit or blame, and the weather.

I only played twice, 'played' being in the eye of the beholder ;))

I'm better at badminton or croquet.

Tiger was a draw. But these new young players are hungry & very exciting to watch.

Tennis & golf are the sports I enjoy on TV.
