One of the UK universities tracking herd immunity thinks we have just achieved it.

Not sure they are right. But we must be close. And as I said, I suspect we will be more-or-less zero covid by the summer.

The numbers of new cases are still falling dramatically on a weekly basis - today's 3k is down by a third over 4.5k seven days ago. Deaths seem to be following a levelling of the number of cases two weeks ago, before they started falling again, so I expect the mortality numbers to decline from around 30/day again as well.

Vaccinations seem to be very effective against hospitalisation and death.

It's incredible to see how effective they are when high risk groups are inoculated.
