instead of the AZ one. That is a shame as it is far less effective against covid. But since people less than 30 are low risk for serious covid symptoms and the J and J jab lowers it further (also reducing the spread by around 3/4), this sort of vaccination has some value.
My guess is the NHS will juggle the shots so that the J and J ones come last. Meanwhile, Moderna vaccines are being administered to the under 50s [but over 30s].
The virus will find it hard to maintain a survivable r rate if we keep wearing masks and everyone has a shot of something [so long as it isn't the Chinese vaccine which doesn't work]. The numbers suggest we are already nearing herd immunity.
