Death throes of the Reagan idea of government as intrinsically evil, rather than as a useful part of a marriage.

The Biden model is that you need both markets and government to operate together as harmoniously as possible.

McConnell needs to accept the fact that elections have consequences. The GOP lost. He needs to let America be what it wishes, not what his ideology allows it to be.

Republicans don't have to be anti-government. They can adopt the position that they want to make it as efficient as possible and not to over-reach. That's the position a pragmatic conservative would reasonably take. But these Republicans are knuckle-draggers and ideologs who will never get it.
