Huh. I was expecting him to be the wide stance sort of Republican.
It's hard for me to get exercised about laws that are different from state to state. It's tawdry due to the age difference. But if 17 is old enough to make a decision of this sort in one state, I am not morally outraged if something happens in another. If he broke the law, so be it, he will have to pay the price.
I am not fond of Gaetz either and have many reasons why I think he should not represent anyone in Florida. I just don't have an opinion about whether 16, 17 or 18 is the right age for teens to make decisions about whether they will have sex with someone.
For me, the relentless sexualisation of much younger Americans by the music industry is a far bigger issue.
