It's just my wife and myself on the boat.
We go up and down the east coast. North in the summer, south in the winter. We'll do two to four days offshore if we get a good weather window. Or sometimes we'll go for 8=10 hrs and then stop at a marina or anchor for the night. We did West Palm Beach to Chesapeake Bay non-stop once. That took 112 hours. We've been to the Bahamas a couple times. Stay there for a few months.
Didn't do much last year because of Covid. Had planned on going to Nova Scotia last summer but Canada was closed to boaters. We stayed in a small town on the eastern shore of Virginia last spring. It was a nice safe place to be during start of the Covid crap.
Planning on the Caribbean next winter, and then going farther south for hurricane season. Maybe Brazil?
We don't have a permanent port anywhere. We stay different places for a few weeks or sometimes couple months.
Running the boat is a lot of work. Its a bunch of systems to take care of. Main Engine, 12 KW diesel Generator, Watermaker, Navigation Equipment, DC Electrical, AC electrical, HVAC, lots of stuff to break.
