That may be true. But if I let myself become a tit-for-tat combatant because of ancient Republican behaviour, well, I'd think I was still playing the game on their chessboard.

For myself, I am hoping Dems focus on issues like gross inequality, the relationship between the West, China and Russia, vaccinations etc.
