Also, I don't even know why the EU is complaining. They said they believe in prioritising solidarity over everything and that is what they have achieved. They are all doing about as well as each other. But they managed, as a solid mass to negotiate a low price for the vaccine.
Britain believes in queues, the sorts that form in butchers' shops, and the folks at the front are served first. So that's what we've got. A place in the queue. Behind Israel. But ahead of the solidarians.
Surely we should each be happy. We each achieved our goal. The EU is collectively paying less per dose and marching in time. The UK is three months ahead of the EU in vaccinating its people and hopes that having its economy back quicker means not haggling over price was a more efficient model.
