Yep. But it wasn't necessary. The grounds for the withdrawal were ridiculous from the beginning. The EU is simply trying to undermine the success of the British response to COVID because it is enraged by Brexit.

There will be another pretext. Not sure how well the rhinoplasty will work after they cut their nose off to spite their face for a second time over the Oxford vaccine.

Even pro-EU Americans like Paul Krugman have begun to realise the EU has gone rotten. First it was the Maastricht Treaty. Then the Euro. Now it's the vaccine.

The AstraZeneca vaccine was declared safe by the E.U. drug regulator. A wave of countries had suspended its use over fears about rare side effects.

The leaders of the nations, mostly in Europe, that paused the vaccine’s use framed their decision as a move intended to reassure the public that all concerns were being treated seriously.

Most of the countries signaled that they were likely to restart using the vaccine once the European Medicines Agency issued clearance. No causative link has yet emerged between the vaccine and side effects such as blood clots or severe bleeding.
