I agree. Joe is doing many good things. And if he avoids going down the road of making things about blacks versus whites, religion against liberalism, woke ideas against conservative ones, he can help move the conversation in a better direction.
I think he is going to focus on saving lives, reducing gross inequality, building infrastructure and protecting voting rights. These are the sorts of constructive, noble and popular policies he can push without putting anyone's back up except the wealthiest Republicans. Then he can harness the support of the working class as well as the existing Democratic Party, which would change the direction of US politics for decades.
But the aggressive, single issue folks are not where the electorate is. Putting race in your face is not going to advance the interests of "coloured people". Creating a happier society by constructive means is what America is, or ought to be, about.
