Maybe the Meghan story is a chance for the US [and the UK, although it's not quite so out-of-control here] to address its woke movement and to admit the pattern emerging of fake victim claims of all sorts.
That isn't to say there aren't genuine abuses that should be addressed. But assuming a claimant is truthful merely because they accuse someone is not tenable.
Liars make accusations too. They allege. And they often use the colour of racism or sexism or some other popular movement to conceal their true motive.
Some folks with big public profiles need to grow a scepticism muscle and the tissue of patience before letting their knee jerk.
