I agree that will be popular and I favour it. Not as a stimulus, but as relief to families that have had their finances smashed. I wish they'd done something like this months ago under Trump.
But I can understand people opposing it. A lot of people will see it as a free money printing exercise. It was one of the only battles the GOP senate actually had with Trump. It's one of the few examples of the GOP sticking to its guns against populism.
