Charles Anson, former press secretary (for 7 yrs) to the queen was just on CNN.

He is a very soothing dignified man, had glowing memories of the queen & how important family is to her, especially her first two grandsons.
He expects the royals will need to address the issues brought up.

For the record Charles was 33 & Diana was 20 when they married. 'Confused' is gracious of you.
He didn't love her, and she probably was caught up in the fairytale. It was a lousy marriage.
I've always wondered if he is Harry's father.

I respect his work on the environment.

I don't think many of Meghan's stories are credible, as told. Major cracks are appearing. I think her credibility is in question. There's a lot of supposition in the stories she tells. She assumes malicious motives that others don't have.

I trust our royal family which is horribly misrepresented in the US media. They won't push back in tit-for-tat fashion. That isn't what they do.

For myself, I like Charles nowadays. I don't feel the need to take sides between him and Diana. It was just a bad marriage: two very different people. He was rather pushed into it by his dad. He seemed a bit confused as a young man. But I think he did a good job as a father. And I respect a lot of the work he has done, especially on environmental matters.
