Understandable that countries are wary since many republicans continue the BIG LIE & make Trump their idol.

Trump has always promoted a campaign of denial for every problem he needed to face.

Just look at the last election, republicans didn't even offer a platform, because Trump did not have one.

They are not FOR anything, they are against...
They are the party of white grievance, victims, in a country that is more colorful than they want.

Can you imagine, WHITE MEN have been in control since the beginning of this country, making blacks their slaves for many years, those slaves were the people that built this country.
Yet, those powerful men now feel that they are victims... Give me a freaking break!

I don't know how Joe or the dem's in congress work with Trumpers.
You can't work with people that base their party on LIES!

So Biden says.

From my own perspective, having a strong and sensible America is a great idea. Biden has made a good start. He represents some of the sorts of ideas that other countries can work with. Although he doesn't have the pulpit American presidents once had.

But a note of caution. I don't think people outside the US will trust it while the GOP continues to be the party it has been recently: that is, from the time it told lies to embroil the west in the Iraq War through to its adoption of the Trump dynasty.

If the GOP had little support, that would be one thing. But unfortunately, it remains almost electable. Which means the American people are still partly in the grip of manifest bananarepublicanism. And until that risk goes away, other countries will build their futures in a way that limits exposure to US crazy.

That's a pity. But the failure of the GOP to clean its own house means the Trump stink remains.

That's something Biden has to bear, sadly. America hasn't left its toxic past behind yet.
