McConnell has cowarded out of reforming the GOP from the inside and marginalising Trump.

Biden has already demonstrated he is too weak for the job of crushing the GOP from the outside by retaining the filibuster. He won't make the structural changes the US desperately needs. So a serious constitutional reform agenda won't happen.

This means 2022 may be bad news for the Dems and for the US, whose voters apparently have the collective memory of a goldfish.

Sad to watch.

He thinks he's a good man.

Most of them probably do.

I believe them.

They were so befuddled by the information they consumed that they had the world back-to-front and inside out. And in this bubble of nonsense they lived in, they became, in fact, villains and the enemies of democracy and the rule of law.

How does America pierce the bubble? That's the really big issue.
