UK has four times as many people vaccinated as Italy, five times as many as Germany, seven times as many as France.
So much for the advantages of being in the EU. It was slow to approve the vaccines and slow to order doses. Now it is complaining that it is at the back of the queue and affected by supply constraints.
This is one reason why we left. It's a bureaucracy and it is cumbersome. Then it whines when this becomes obvious.
The EU vacccination strategy operates like the EU currency, the euro. Lumbering and inflexible. Heck, they haven't even signed the treaty between the EU and the UK yet, because they have to translate it into 20-30 languages first. So happy to be out of there.
