And there I was thinking Republican macho men in the House were against appeasement. That they admired that Churchill guy.

A few terrorists go to the capital and threaten insurrection and it's "please appease the mob".

Hey, folks. You don't appease bad guys. You don't cower. You make it hard for them. As necessary, you stand up to them.

Unity comes from having a common purpose. That purpose might have been to stand together for liberty, democracy and the rule of law against right wing terrorists.

But you didn't. Instead, you played the ostrich and hid.

So the GOP House failed to unify the country and isolate the insurrectionist terrorists by impeaching Trump. That was their opportunity.
