from what the doc told me the aorta is a big artery which feeds the lower part of the body with blood. It is inflamed a bit, Its only 3 mm or what ever measurement they call it, No need to worry till it gets to 5 mm. It wont. I know how it happened. Fell many years ago on my right side, ribs and back, and that where the inflamed aorta is. I kn ocked the rib cage loose it would pop back and forth I would lay on my back it would pop forward and visa versa. My body has had quiet a ride LOL...

The surgeon wont operate till we make sure it is good and out of the way, on my lower back.

Aorta
The aorta is the main and largest artery in the human body, originating from the left ventricle of the heart and extending down to the abdomen, where it splits into two smaller arteries. The aorta distributes oxygenated blood to all parts of the body through the systemic circulation.
