I really do hope US society can cure itself of the terrible misinformation disease that has afflicted it (for nigh on two decades).

I guess it was the internet that revealed the problem and provided a vector for its metastasis.

After the assault on the Capitol, it is clear it must be addressed.

Learning what freedom means is the most basic level of the problem. Freedom operates within the rule of law. Outside the rule of law, it is no different from anarchy. And it is anarchy that the Capitol rioters believe in, though they don't know it.

So you want to start by asserting this definition and making the information which supports it robust and truthful. The rest of the edifice rests on these foundations.

Contradicting my expectations, the US vaccination rate is not too bad (on a per capita basis).

There are areas of weakness, as there are everywhere. But it seems to have the fifth fastest rate of vaccination in the world.
