I agree re the new cases number. But the deaths are for the most part from people who caught it more than two weeks ago (ie pre xmas). And they are at least 50% higher than they ought to be given the number of cases back then. The death rate is higher than 2% of the new cases number from the pre-xmas period. That's savage.
