McConnell loses.

Pleased about that.

Now all we have to do is to get the Democratic party to treat the UK as an ally, and not, in Trumplike fashion, to expect loyalty to flow in only one direction.

But also, the fact that the US has maybe squeaked out of its existential crisis for the moment doesn't make the US any less of a risk to the whole world. We've seen how many of the American people supported fascism. That scares everyone.
