This is how reality gets hijacked.

Florida does not have broad mask mandates, but you cannot go into Costco without one, etc. and people wear them all over. There are exceptions from what I have seen, like Delray beach Atlantic Ave., where all the restaurants are, and where it looks like a free for all, very few masks, a lot of it outdoors, but still not a safe situation there. Then, you have Miami where they have over 2000 cases a day.

Anyone who does a survey has to pay attention to the fact that over 80% of transmission happens indoors at peoples family gatherings. Furthermore, the surge we’ve seen came right at the time predicted: three weeks after Thanksgiving, just as expected. And there will be another in January. Because people will get together with ...family, warnings be damned.

Masks work, lockdowns work, social distancing and outdoors work and help. All together they make the difference.

Greece has had a lockdown for just over a month now. They had gone from 50 or less cases a day to over 3000. They have cut it down to around under 600 now, and will keep it tight until after the holidays.

Comparing states based on the mask mandates they have in place is bullshit, hay for consumption by the stupid.

Yes, you can get infected with a mask on, in a closed space where someone asymptomatic has no mask on, your eyes are not protected, ventilation is bad, etc., the mask won’t help you there. Putting a mask on and ignoring everything else is not going to protect you.

Stop the stupid.
