Well, my British mother-in-law, who worked in a hospital during WW II, said the British doctors recommended one pint of Guinness per day during pregnancy ... for the expectant mothers, that is ... the expectant fathers could have as many pints per day as they wanted, I expect. Personally, I'd say those British doctors were more right than wrong.
