The new strain is apparently 70% more contagious.

Damn.

It was bad enough already.

No word yet on the mortality numbers. If it's more infectious and less deadly, then okay. But if it's more infectious and equally deadly, then we may not have a chance against it.

Some much bigger numbers coming out of Germany. 30k+ per day.

So the Teutonic Free Pass seems to be ending.

I do hope the vaccine still works on the evolved virus. Otherwise, it's seriously worrying. Starts to be more like a plague than a mere pandemic.
