A person knowledgeable in science does not "believe" in it, clo. You're confusing science and religion.
To Clo's less than igonorant assertion, Scince is BASED in FACT. They are interchangeable..
ALMOST ALL of the Old Testament has been proven with respect to places, prophecies that were made AND completed, Geographical physical places, cities, towns, events..
MUCH of the New Testament is also factual with very little left to actually "Believe" or have FAITH" in.
ALL the people you meet in the New Testament actually were very real and were here on planet earth.
IF TWO people tell you they witnessed an event or something, then we have the witmess of two.
Christ's ressurreced body, form if you will, was seen by several thousand. Not only that, but many who had dies before HIM were resurrected at the same time HE was and those people were seen and witnessed to as well, which is why that shows up in the writings of the manuscripts.
There is very little in the New testament that one is asked to take by faith...
The only faith in the New Testament equired is where the LORD Himself says that if we come to HIM by faith believing that HE IS a rewarder of those who BY FAITH seek HIM, He will in no wise cast them away.
SINCE HE is no longer walking on the earth, we must accept the historical records that He indeed was here, witnessed by tens of thousands,and HE left instructions for everyone who was to be born after HE left this world to return to His own, on how to have an eternal place to live with HIM for all eternity..
THAT is the only thing one has to believe or have faith in in the New Testament..
You and I will disagree about "religion" unless of course you are referring to fairy tale religions that are just that, made up man made fantasies that did not come fom GOD HIMSELF. Like Islaam for example, or Shintoism, any other occult...
