Years back now I was seeing a doctor - I had fainted one
night for no known reason. The quack was convinced I
was diabetic. My A1C was running consistently at 5.9.
Then her machine went wonky, she decided I needed other
expensive tests and I fired the quack. The quack was
also checking my feet - diabetics tend to suffer nerve
damage and one of the checks is do the feet still feel
stuff. My feet feel stuff just fine.
There is also eyeball damage by diabetes. Last time I
saw a real eye doctor I asked him to check it - no
eyeball damage.
I probably caught it early enough. Lost thirty pounds.
I felt a LOT better after losing thirty pounds and
getting regular exercise.
