Since everyone knows that Trump was planning not to admit defeat long before the election was held, and that he was probably contemplating a coup, let's not forget that he built an extra, unclimbable fence just before the election.
So, on the coup side of things, we have the GOP not conceding, the dispatching of key figures in the DoD and their replacement by loyallists, and a defensive barrier around the White House.
The generals will likely refuse any order to impose themselves. So that's where Trump is still a bit stuck. And he doesn't control much of the internal machinery he would need to do his coup.
But it certainly looks like he's at a minimum trying to extort a deal in order to step aside.
