I agree with you but even want to expand a tad bit more as to why conservative single people should have reservations about getting involved with someone who is a radical socialist democrat...
Those two people should they ever be dumb enough to marry, will have bitter and hard feelings over issues that actually do impact daily life. WHat happens in politics and hence affects household finances and planning and will be a continual source of contention.. Newly married people
have enough new issues to resolve and meld into one without have a flaming socialista to deal with as well. Home is supposed to be a place of refuge and peace and acceptance.. It canot be any of those things with diametrically opposed views on the mst basic of things that affect our daily lives ..
To me, getting wed to a political oppoosite in these times is a non-starter... and recipe for a divorce...
