The party of Trump and the people who support originalism as a legal doctrine still inhabit the same party.
You can get integrity, albeit of a curious sort, out of the latter.
It is the politics of Trump and the Bananarepublicans that is hopelessly lost and unpopular.
So, for instance, voter suppression is something a Trump Republican is willing to do. But a sincere originalist would undoubtedly oppose it in principle. They might interpret the law differently from you and I. But there would still be law.
That's why Trump keeps losing in the courts. Even in courts with Republican judges.
If Trump wins again, then you will see him setting aside judgements he doesn't like. He's an arbitrary power sort of guy.
