A party of the right that is prudent about its expenditure will have no argument from me, so long as it doesn't apply the rules hypocritically or insist that small government is always the right answer.
A party that protects the interests of states is fine by me, so long as it also preserves American interests where they apply.
And so on.
The interesting answers always allow that the world can be complicated, that people have different interests, that context matters.
The people whose views are least interesting are the dogmatic, ideological ones.
