Not that the US is the only country struggling.

As far as I can tell, it's the only country with an advanced economy whose government just gave up and indeed, actively undermined its scientists.

Comparing the US to Canada, the US has more than 100k excess deaths. That's the scale of Trump's utter uselessness.

It actually looks possible the US will have its first 100k day this week. Not likely. But possible. Acceleration at the end of the week is normal from a reporting viewpoint.
