Every once in a while I right click on the recycle bin and clikc on "EMPTY the recycle bin", which it gets completely cleared and all the things that were in it are permamnently deleted.

...when ya empty the recycle bin the files are still there and will be until they are written over. I see the cops on the reality cop shows catching the bad guys like that all the time. Im just really irritated that somehow or another something that worked suddenly stopped and, well here's the microsoft update folks.

...by the way, when you move files from one drive to another it leaves a copy on both drives. The only work around I have found is to create a file on the aux drive. I call it shred. Instead of deleting the files I move them into the shred bin and then since my mcafee security program can see em, it can shred them. It's a pain in the arse and I am almost certain that this was done just to be irritating.

what perzactly does ya mean when you say you have a file you delete and then you can "shred" it?

On my computers, I delete a file and it goes to the recycle bin. Every once in a while I right click on the recycle bin and clikc on "EMPTY the recycle bin", which it gets completely cleared and all the things that were in it are permamnently deleted.

Now, You say that you have three hard drives.. One is in the computer and the other two are external ones.

SO One would be theoretically drive D and the other drive E
or maybe E and F.. Whatever they are, if you is trying to delete a file and having problems on that drive, simply move the file or "SEND" it to your recycle bin on Drive C. Or the desktop on drive c and then go there and dispose of it.. In the recycle bin.

ALL you do to move a file is to right click on it and click on 'SEND TO: and choose drive C and location...

This oughta do it sire... JMO.
