...know that, but I use the disc for tax stuff and during the process of filling em out sometimes there is a variance between the original entries and the final outcome. I don't want to clean the disc, I just want certain files to be unreadable.

...there is a recycle bin associated with C drive and I have a E and F as well. That's where I keep the files. If I delete anything from the C drive it goes into the recycle bin and I can shred it. If I delete anything from the E or F drive I can go to the recycle bin and see it. If I shred the recycle bin it comes back and tells me that shredding is complete. Look back in the recycle bin and they are still there.

...I believe that there is a recycle bin associated with each drive. All deletes go into the respective recycle bin. If I disconnect the aux drive the files disappear from the recycle bin, so I know the files are on the individual drives.
