I had a similar experience Nemo. You have a worse problem than me as you have an actual BREAK in the bones and I am sure by now lots of arthritis has decided to grow as well. You can take up to three sets of shots fairly quickly. I think the reason it feels worse now is because the shots actually gave you some instant relief and you felt really good. Like everyone else in the world, you start feeling good and then we all start doing more stuff that we would not normally have done because we are out of acute pain. We don't feel it because of the shots that had numbing medicines in them until it wears off, like yours and mine both did. They lasted a tad over two weeks in both cases. I gave up almost anything that irritates or causes me to regret it later. Physically speaking. Lifting anything that weighs more than ten pounds as an example. Lots of bending or bending or twisting. You know, like working on boats and getting yerself in all kinds of positions and stuff. You do not realize it at the time but it bites you in the arse later.... I no longer wish to experience that. I painted a bedroom on Saturday. That was about the MAX I can do and not live to regret it.
YES. You really do need a surgeon. A MICRO surgeon. As in very small tools and opening to go thru. micro surgery is half the size of minimal invasive. You recover quickly. In your case with an actual literal break I am not sure what the options are. You really do need surgery because you have pretty well exhausted your other options. WARNING. You may wake up after surgery worse than you are when dealing with a spine.. You could be a paralyzed person. It is serious surgery which is why it is the very ultimate last choice.... And you will have to sign a waiver if you elect it and they are willing to perform it but you have to recognize the extreme risk involved. SO you need the best spine surgeon in your area or state for good reason....
I feel for ya. I know your pain and its why I am on pain management. It sucks.... |
