Yup. When the lockdowns began, one of the first things to become unavailable was 'survival packs' of heirloom vegetable seeds. The shortage didn't affect me too much, but many who wanted to start a sustainable garden were out of luck in 2020. That may be a blessing in disguise. A lot of people learned something important about what happens to supply lines in a crisis.

BTW, I have so far had my greatest gardening successes with store-bought, non-heirloom seeds. That, obviously, is a problem I'll need to solve. Fortunately, it looks like I've got a few more years to work it out. For a while there, it appeared that 'This was IT.'

Some of these hybrid seeds can't be harvested and re-planted. The seed companies have bred that ability out of them. Next year will tell the tale.
