Punish UK for leaving

That attitude from the EU doomed any agreement between the UK and the EU from the beginning.

They will not respect UK sovereignty.

So it looks like there will be no trade deal, which means tariffs will be imposed on goods travelling in either direction.

Amazing. A constructive attitude would have made a deal easy. But the contempt of EU countries which saw the UK leave means there's no way to do a deal. And that means we'll be competing with the EU as a low cost, low regulation European alternative for setting up manufacturing etc. I don't think they will enjoy what is coming.
