Agreed Sire.
My roots go back to Lancaster Pennsylvania, not to be confused with Lancaster, Ohio. My father is the only one of all our relatives on his side and my mother's family to actually leave the state of Pennsylvania and come west to Cincinnati, Ohio. I do not reside in Cincinnati nor its county...
My grandparents had a very nice colonial brickk Ranch n Lancaster they bought after they were sixty years old. I have very fond memories of that house as well as my grandparents. All my cousins live out that way and I had occasion to stay with one a few days a year ago when my dear Aunt passed very suddenly and unexpectedly.. We were very close.. I often had thought that she should have been my mother instead of my mom. She was mom's younger sister.. She was the kindest sweetest lady you will ever meet or know.. I was heartbroken when she died. SO was my Uncle who is still living and driving at age 94. He also is a very special man.. He was in special black ops Air his whole life as the flight engineer. He is in their Hall of Fame..
After my mom died my Aunt adopted me asone of her own sons. We talked every week and it was a joy to do so..
She told me that everyone needs a mom.. She is right. WHen ya can;t talk to anyone else you can always go talk to mom.. She will gladly take you unconditionally.
This is why Mother's day is so special. Mothers do not get nearly the admiration or love in return for all that they give every day of every year...
I miss my mom and I miss my Aunt...
