I had the misfortune to use it ONE YEAR and the only good news for me was that I was able to afford to pay for a much better plan than most people at that time. I had to have all six of my sinus cavities surgically opened and drained from the infecions in them. I was very sick for about a couple months and n antibiotics were touching this infection and my ability to breathe was extremely limited. It was scary. It took an allergist to find out exactly what was the cause of the ongoing infection nobody could ghet rid of by ordering a brain/sinus cacity scan. WIthin two days of that scan I was at an ENT surgeo's office being scheduled for immediate surgery.
So I was fortunate with the first year of obamnure care. The second year prices went sky high and my plan was ot even offered.
So I thumbed my nose at them and went with short term medical insurance I renewed every six months. Better premiums, private healthcare company, and far better deductibles and coverages. Did that all the way until I got on Medicare.
I have told many pepople in similar boats about those plans and a lot of them did it also. It was a good alternative that not many knew about.
