Don't know why it didn't stick, but it was an image of a letter written by Gen. George S. Patton on January 26, 1945 that contained this statement: "In my opinion, the M-1 rifle is the greatest battle implement ever devised."

So, I was simply trying to refer to the obvious ... that the M-1 Garand rifle ... the one pictured by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America as a "hunting rifle, not a weapon of war" ... was indeed a paramount weapon of war that served with distinction during World War II and the Korean War.
