I am running Libre Office Version 4.0.4.2. Under Windoze 7.
I've been running this version for many years now. It just
works well for me.
I do have one 'Writer' file that is 67 pages and 35,427
words long. No problems with that either. (I wrote the
whole thing - still in progress. Over years.)
I have a LOT of spreadsheets that I use to keep track of
the holdings in my portfolio. I also use Draw for most
of my drawing needs.
Access? Well, at work I either created or maintained several
Access databases for the shop. When I thought about creating
an actual database to help me keep up with my portfolio
Access was the logical choice at the time. These days I use
it once a week. . . the database does what I want it to do . . .
and as a wise old guy once said "If it ain't broke don't
fix it."
