My granddaughter played in a top tier softball tournament in Portage INdiana this past weekend. There were highly rated teams from all over the country there.
Her team went 4-1 in the opening round robin and she was on a hitting tear in a zone.. JAcked One over the center field fence some 230 feet away.. Threw out 7 players attempting to steal second base on her also..
The head womens softball coach of an excellent girls softball school told her head coach, who told her parents, who told us, that SHE is his number one prospect and will do everything in his power to get her to that school, which is a Christian UNiversity that is about an hour and a few minutes away and my wife's sister has worked at 25 years and one of her older cousins is now attending that same school.
This will be awesome if the coach can direct an enormous amount of scholarship money toward her education in addition to the financial aid available from the University itself.... So this was an eventful weekend!
