spun off from the space program.
Satellite TV for the rural farm houses too
far out for cable TV for one thing.
Impossible without the space program.
Hurricane tracking is a snap when the
'weather watcher' is up in geo-synchronous
orbit. As in an orbital camera designed to
monitor weather - clouds, etc. etc.
