Reminds me once more about the flag-waving person defiantly refusing to leave his property near Mount St Helens before it erupted, then was incinerated. Split instantaneously into a gazillion carbon atoms by the pyroclastic flow.

Couldn't happen to anyone more deserving of their fate or whose own decisions more clearly brought it on.

So it seems providentially apt that Trump should experience the disease whose spread he encouraged and whose dangers he thought he could evade inside the White House bubble. It was only everyone else who needed to worry.

Stupid is as stupid does. The Bible that Trump brandished has many examples of the treatment meted out to misguided rulers. He should read it one day.

My sympathy belongs to the 200k who had no decision-making power and now have no vote.

There's an obvious moral dilemma here. Like the one about if you had access to a time machine, would you kill Hitler as a baby?

If Trump recovers and continues to govern in a way that kills people, is it moral to wish him to return to office?

I hope he does not, without expressing an opinion about his illness. That's the end of the dilemma that matters to me. Not him. The people who he will damage. He has power. They do not. He has choices. They do not.

I hope the person whose evil policies kill people doesn't get to kill people any more.
