Good Question Captain.
The need for smaller, lighter, computers for rockets and
missiles led to the development of microprocessors - and
the PC type computers we all know and love.
Freeze Dried food? Wasn't that another spin off from
the space program?
Would satellite TV be possible without the space program?
Weather forecasting? Hurricane tracking via satellite is
only possible thanks to the space program.
Personally I would like to know "Are there metals and minerals
on the moon worth the cost to extract?" and if there are
I would like U.S. to colonize the moon. Making a self
sufficient human habitation. (In case we succeed in eradicating
all life on this planet.)
