Not quite sure why you think comedians are naturally assumed to have a higher than average IQ.

I know many funny people and none of them are what I would consider to be above average by mnore than a few points at most. There are some actors that are Mensa qualified, but not many. I am not that person.

Not sure about Meddling Midler but she strikes me as arrogant, full of herself importance, and an airhead with a big mouth.. Just my perception.... YMMV.

Re: “WHO GIVES A RATS ARSE what Bette Meddling Midler thinks? That psycho has not had a coherent thought in decades..”
While I will grant that top notch writers, directors, composers and even comedians are highly intelligent people, our society has made the egregious error of thinking that actors, singers and sports stars have above average IQs as well. In fact, I think these people have nothing more than good memories, social skills and/or physical skills. That doesn't equate to intelligence. Far from it.

My opinion is that actors are probably poorer thinkers than the average person.

Now somebody will challenge me by saying, "Yeah, but what about clo?" Okay. That's true. You've got me there. She is certainly dumber than the average actor. Maybe drunken sluts are an even lower category of human being.
