Scary how fast the Latin American countries are storming up the Deaths/Million chart.
Peru is solidly second. But a group of four more are overtaking almost everyone else. By the end of today they will occupy 6th-9th, pushing the UK down to 10th.
While the US is headed in the same direction, it doesn't have the same velocity. It will probably replace the UK in a week, but I don't see it going above 10th, and Mexico will probably replace it there within the month.
The battle for worst performance is not one anyone wants to win. But San Marino has been that country for ages, in spite of not having a single death since May.
